John has designed lighting for museums and galleries around Australia including Australian Centre for the Moving Image, State Library of Victoria, National Museum of Australia and the National Library of Australia. Important elements in his approach to museum and gallery lighting include integration of light into architecture, modelling of space and form, meeting strict conservation requirements and support for the visitor journey through the space.
